WHENEVER DISASTER STRIKES, INTERNATIONAL RESCUE ANSWERS THE CALL!
From their hidden island base in the south Pacific, the five Tracy brothers pilot remarkable, cutting-edge Thunderbird vehicles from the depths of the oceans to the highest reaches of space – all for one purpose: to help others in need.
A master of disguise, The Hood is equally satisfied taking matters into his own hands or sending a minion off to do his dirty work. His life’s mission is to steal and exploit cutting-edge technology. In a world that is built upon science and engineering, the more he can control, the more powerful he will be.
No entity on Earth has more advanced technology than International Rescue. For that reason, they are his number one target. He will do just about anything to get his hands on the Thunderbird Vehicles.
LADY PENELOPE AND PARKER
Lady Penelope lives a dual life. One is in the public eye of British high society, the other is a behind the scenes fixer for International Rescue. A smart and bold with a dry wit and great sense of purpose. When International Rescue needs something - be it information or materials, Lady Penelope is their source.
Parker is bodyguard and driver for Lady Penelope. He has a checkered past and a 'particular set of skills' which have come in handy for International Rescue on multiple occasions.
The heart and soul of the Tracy family and the matriarch of Tracy Island. She keeps everyone in line and is a perpetual source of wisdom and insight. Not a good cook.
THE CHAOS CREW
Havoc - Thief, code-breaker and master of deception, with an assignment to cause as much chaos as possible!
Fuse - A demolition expert aiding The Hood’s mission to cause chaos for International Rescue.
Brains is the genius behind International Rescue, designing all of the vehicles and equipment that make their work possible.
Preferring to operate behind the scenes, on the rare occasions Brains does travel in one of his inventions he usually feels sick! When in his element though, Brains’ brilliance is remarkable: he is contemplative, deliberate and a serial perfectionist. Just don’t ask him to work under pressure!
TASK: ENGINEER AND INVENTOR
Having grown up on Tracy Island, Kayo is like a sister to the Tracy brothers. And as an expert in the Wing Chun form of Kung Fu, Kayo can more than hold her own with the boys – not even Virgil can match her in close combat!
Responsible for security on Tracy Island, Kayo is as focused and stealthy as her Thunderbird Shadow vehicle, with a rebellious streak that can often lead to conflict with Scott. Despite this, Kayo’s loyalty to International Rescue is without question, as anyone threatening her adoptive family soon discovers.
TASK: COVERT OPS
Kayo needs a means for getting around quickly and undetected. Her single-seat jet is silent and nearly invisible. The cockpit section disconnects as a motorbike. Wings fold up allowing it to land in tight spaces. Landing gear has grappling claws allowing it to attach to vertical surfaces (e.g. cliff faces, larger vehicles, etc.) Holographic emitters allow it to blend in to its surroundings and sensor-defeating electronics make it nearly undetectable.
FAB 1 not only makes a statement, but it has a few tricks up its sleeve as well. A dampening field makes eavesdropping on conversations inside (electronic or otherwise) nearly impossible. The body and windows are bulletproof, the solid tires puncture-proof and the cabin and engine compartment are air-tight, allowing Fab 1 to escape underwater should it need to.
THE HOOD'S LAIR
Most if not all the technology present here is either stolen or obtained through The Hood’s corporate alter-ego. A sizeable research lab is staffed with an army of scientists who work around the clock to reverse-engineer the machines The Hood obtains. The Hood’s lair can power up and fly to any location in the world, depending on where he’s operating at any given time.
They may not be a Thunderbird, but these POD vehicles do it all. They can operate on land, sea, air, and in the vacuum of space and are customisable to assist International Rescue in many of their trickier missions. They are transported to the danger zone in one of the six Thunderbird 2's POD. The Mole, the Elevator cars, the Bulldozer and the Helipod are just some of the few variations.
